In Episode 75 of The Daily Carry Podcast, we sit down with Colorado U.S. Senate candidate Amanda Calderon for a wide-ranging conversation about the issues facing our nation, our state, and the world. We talk through major national and global challenges, as well as the real concerns people here in Colorado are dealing with every day.
Many of the solutions seem like they should be simple, often just a matter of applying a little common sense, but we also dig deeper into why so many problems persist. That deeper conversation led us to something bigger: the reality that many of the struggles we see today are part of a much larger battle between good and evil. We discuss how politics, culture, and society all reflect that spiritual conflict, and why policy alone can’t ultimately fix what’s broken.
Amanda shares her perspective on leadership, responsibility, and the importance of faith in navigating difficult times. We close the episode in prayer and with a reminder that while the world’s problems can feel overwhelming, there is still real hope. Because in the end, the only true and lasting solution is Jesus Christ.
“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” - 1 Timothy 6:10
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” - Matthew 6:24

Danielle shares her heart for serving Colorado, her approach to leadership, and why she believes it’s time for a different voice at the Capitol. We dive into the policies and principles driving her campaign and what she sees as the biggest challenges facing Colorado families today.
Of course, it wouldn’t be The Daily Carry without talking gear. Danielle brought in a special edition Rambo knife, and we got into the story behind it,  and why preparedness and mindset matter just as much as policy.
It’s a conversation about courage, conviction, and stepping up to serve, and we close the episode in prayer for wisdom, strength, and guidance for Colorado’s future.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” - James 1:5
